ABOUT OUR CLUB

The Vassar Lions Club is new to this community as our club was chartered April 26th, 2003.

For a young club, we have provided glasses; vision training; a hearing aid; and toys for the Tuscola County children.

We provide family entertainment with our "Pumpkin Launcher" game each year at the Pumpkin Roll.

We have supported the Tuscola County Sight Screening program, the Vassar Petunia Planting, and the Vietnam Moving Wall.

Our Club has donated to Lions projects which impact our community like Bear Lake, Diabetes Awareness, The Fowler Center, Habitat for Humanity, Hearing, Speach Action & Work with the Deaf, Hurricane Relief Aid, Lions Clubs International Foundation, Leader Dog & Leader Dog Puppy Program, Leo Clubs, Liberty Day Program, Lions of Michigan Service Foundation, Michigan Eye Bank, Special Needs Vision Clinic, Welcome Homes and the Lions Youth Exchange.

Our Club raises funds in a variety of ways.  A few of the ways we have tried are Calendar Sales, Chocolate Easter Bunny Sales, "Pumpkin Launch" at the Pumpkin Roll, Facilitation of the Bumper Boat rides during Vassar Riverfest.  We also participate in White Cane Week fundraising drives.
